March 29th is National Vietnam Veterans Day. The Dorchester Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located off of Morrissey Boulevard and honors the 80 men from Dorchester who were killed during the Vietnam War.
The memorial was erected in 1984 and includes a nine-foot-high piece of stone listing the names of the fallen sitting in front of two 12-foot-high pieces of stone.
