A pedestrian was struck by a car near the Ashmont MBTA stop on Friday night. Boston police responded to a report of a person struck in the area of 1911 Dorchester Ave. around 9:20 p.m. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and expected to survive.
According to the Dorchester Reporter, the vehicle did flee the scene but two MBTA police officers witnessed the hit and run and chased the car. The car then hit three more cars and then turned into a brief foot chase ended with the suspect in custody as well as a firearm which the suspect tried to ditch. This happened at the intersection of Adams and Beaumont.

The suspect is due in court on Monday for leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, driving under the influence, and illegal gun possession.
