UPDATE: On Thursday, the BPDA has approved this plan to develop the former Globe headquarters.
Boy oh boy, is Dot changing! The 16.5 acre site of the former Boston Globe’s headquarters sold to a Burlington-based developer Nordblom Co. and Alcion Ventures back in December.
Nordblom revealed its plans to transform the site into The BEAT (Boston Exchange for Accelerated Technology)! According to the Boston Globe, the company will repurpose the nearly 700,000-square-foot building into a “multi-tenant innovation park.” In addition the plans include restaurants, retail, and maybe even a craft brewery.
