Big news from one of Dorchester’s dining gems—Comfort Kitchen is growing! The team behind the critically acclaimed Uphams Corner hotspot is cooking up something new: a sister restaurant called Ama, set to open in Allston early next year.
Ama will be part of Harvard’s shiny new Enterprise Research Campus, which is currently under construction and will eventually include offices, labs, housing, a hotel, and a conference center. While details on Ama’s exact vibe and menu are still simmering, we know it’ll be in good hands—Comfort Kitchen made waves when it opened in 2023, earning a spot as a finalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation. Chef Kwasi Kwaa also snagged a regional finalist nod for Best Chef.
Co-owners Biplaw Rai and Nyacko Pearl Perry will lead the new restaurant, the same dream team that brought Comfort Kitchen to life.
