At about 3:24 PM, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan), arrested four individuals for various offenses in the area of 68 Whitfield Street in Dorchester. While on patrol, officers observed four occupants traveling on scooters, fail to stop for a stop sign. None of the occupants were wearing helmets.

Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop but the individuals fled on the scooters down an alleyway near 68 Whitfield Street. Officers exited their cruiser and located the all four suspects in a neighboring back yard along with the scooters that were on the ground next to a couple trash cans. The scooters had significant ignition damage.

After further investigation, officers located a loaded firearm in the trash can. The firearm was determined to be a Taurus G3C 9×19, with one round in the chamber, nine rounds of ammunition in the magazine and an obliterated serial number, five baggies of marijuana and one small plastic baggie believed to be crack cocaine.

Manuel Monteiro, 18, Brian Price 18, and two juvenile males, ages 14 and 15, all of Brockton were placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, Drugs, Distribution of Class B, Drugs and Trespassing. All are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
