This past weekend, Fleurs de Villes, a one-of-a-kind international floral show, made a stop in Boston. A “celebration of global destinations,” the exhibition at the Pru featured 16 floral mannequins inspired by various cultures, people, and heritages!
One of those creations was “India,” designed by Jennifer Allen (Dorchester native) of Market Studio. This stunning and vibrant floral tribute to India won first place! See description below:
People from all walks of life gather to drench one another with colored powders (gulal) and water, transforming the streets into a swirling kaleidoscope of vivid colors, with dhol drummers providing a pulsing soundtrack that adds to the carnival atmosphere. Rooted in Hindu mythology, Holi signifies the triumph of good over evil.
Holi‘s rich heritage embodies unity, the spirit of renewal, and the shared joy of India‘s diverse communities, making it a cherished and unifying cultural celebration and one of the world’s most immersive travel experiences.
Way to go, Jen! If you’d like to have your stoop decorated for the holidays, Market Studio is taking on a few new clients! You can reach out to them via their website or Instagram!
