First Responders Credit Union to Host Family Fun Day Supporting Working Dogs

Here’s a good cause worth barking about! First Responders Credit Union is hosting a Firehouse Comfort Dog Family Fun Day on Wednesday, October 7, from 12pm–4pm at 60 Hallet Street in Dorchester.

The event will help raise awareness and funds for firehouse dogs, police K9s, and comfort dogs who work alongside first responders. Guests can meet some four-legged friends from Firehouse Dogs, enjoy a reading of Millie the Brave by author and Somerville firefighter Danielle O’Hearn, and say hello to Paw Patrol favorites Marshall and Chase. The Boston Fire Department Education Unit will also be there with fire trucks and educational activities, plus Danielle Milner, President & CEO, First Responder Credit Union.

Funds raised will support Firehouse Dogs, a nonprofit that helps provide nutritious food for working K9s, as well as medical expenses for Millie, a comfort dog.

The event takes place outdoors at 60 Hallet Street. In case of bad weather, the festivities will move indoors to Florian Hall at 55 Hallet Street.
