Contrary to the belief that the fire department rescues cats in need, it’s actually the Animal Rescue League! The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Rescue Services Department were called to action to help Gadget – 3 year-old a black and white cat – from a roof on Gaston Street in Dot.
According to the Boston Globe, this was the first rescue of 2019. Agents from ARL used a narrow board from the roof area to the fire escape and had Gadget’s owner call him over safely with the help of his favorite food.
