The Fields Corner branch of the Boston Public Library is scheduled to close on Friday, October 25, to make way for the demolition of the existing building at Dorchester Avenue and Park Street. The $30 million project to replace the branch is expected to be completed in 2026.
In preparation for the closure, museum passes, book holds, and other items will be transferred to the Adams Street branch at 690 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA 02122.
The library also encourages patrons to visit the branches at Codman Square, Uphams Corner, Lower Mills, or Grove Hall. You can learn more by visiting
