Explore Dorchester History at the A Walking Tour of Melville Avenue, Wellesley Park, and Tremlett Street
Love local history? The Dorchester Historical Society and the Melville Park Neighborhood Association are hosting a walking tour of Melville Avenue, Wellesley Park, and Tremlett Street on Saturday, August 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Led by Earl Taylor, President of the Dorchester Historical Society, and Donald Friary, who grew up on Melville Avenue in the 1940s and 1950s, the tour will explore the historic homes along these beautiful streets and share stories about some of the fascinating people who once lived there.
The tour begins at 4 Melville Avenue, and light refreshments will be served afterward at 28 Tremlett Street. It’s a great way to learn more about one of Dorchester’s most historic neighborhoods.
