Remember back in November during our city council election a recount was ordered? Or maybe you don’t because per usual, there was low voter turnout. Anyway, after the election for the at-large seat, the votes between candidates Julia Mejia and Alejandra Nicole St. Guillen were just 10 votes.Yes, 10 votes. A recount took place and it was revealed on Monday that Mejia won by just ONE vote! The Globe has more details on this interesting race if you’re interested in learning more.
Michelle Wu, Annissa Essaibi George, and Michael Flaherty were elected for the top 3 spots for at-large.
