Alright, Dorchester, we’ve got some major news for our neighbors and fellow residents who spend their days at UMASS Boston!
Our friends at Elliott Physical Therapy, a local business we know and love, just made a huge move to the UMASS campus, bringing their top-tier care right to the students, faculty, and staff!
That’s right, no need to leave the campus loop; expert physical therapy treatment is now just steps away. The new satellite location is already up and running, helping the Bayside community stay active and pain-free.
The Scoop: Where to Find the Best PT on Campus
Elliott Physical Therapy has set up shop in the Beacon fitness center, conveniently located in the multi-purpose room! Whether you’re a student recovering from a basketball injury, a staff member dealing with work-related back pain, or a professor trying to get back to running, they’re there for you.
And get this—they’ve only been open a hot minute and are already booked up! They’ve received a huge number of appointment requests, which just shows the demand for accessible physical therapy care
Meet the Dream Team
The success is no surprise when you look at the all-star team they’ve got covering the floor. Right now, you can get fixed up by two amazing clinicians (from our Southie team!):
- Matt Watson, PT, DPT, ATC
- Brendan Kirck, PT, DPT
And because the demand is so high, they’re beefing up the roster! Maddie Stach, PT, DPT (from our Dorchester team) will be joining the UMASS PT crew in November, ensuring that everyone who needs to be seen will be able to with no wait.
What They’re Fixing
Elliott PT is known for covering the whole nine yards when it comes to injuries and pain relief. For the UMASS Boston community, this means you’ve got easy access to comprehensive physical therapy services for almost anything that ails you, including:
- Sports Injuries (perfect for all those Beacon athletes and intramural champs!)
- Back Pain and Neck Pain (say goodbye to desk slouch and backpack strain)
- Shoulder Pain and Knee Pain
- Pre & Post-Surgical Rehab
- Treatments like Manual Therapy, Soft Tissue Mobilization, and Therapeutic Exercise.
Helping Our Community Thrive
This is a fantastic addition for everyone at UMASS Boston, and it’s a win for our local businesses. If you have connections on campus—students, faculty, or staff—make sure to let them know that high-quality, convenient care is now available right where they work and study.
