According to BPD, one man was killed and another wounded in a shooting on Saturday night.  This homicide was the first of 2020. 

From BPD news:

At about 8:26 PM on Saturday January 11, 2020, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for two people shot in the area of 51 Washington Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located two male victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were transported to an area hospital where one victim was declared deceased. The second victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening at this time.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
