According to Mass Live, the early Friday morning shooting in Dorchester, where a man was killed and a woman was shot in the head, was an attempted murder-suicide.
The man shot the woman in the head and then turned the gun on himself. You can read more about this here.

A male and a female victim were shot early Friday morning in Dorchester.
According to NBC10 Boston, BPD responded to a scene around 12:11am on Lawrence Avenue where they discovered two people shot. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where the man later died. The woman is in stable condition.
