Dorchester’s Stone & Skillet Lands in 600 Target Stores Nationwide
Here’s some good news out of Dot! Dorchester-based Stone & Skillet English Muffins has officially launched in 600 Target stores nationwide.
Founded by brothers Cam, Kyle, and Nick Meekins in 2013, Stone & Skillet got its start in a Boston apartment, where the original English muffins were made using a stone countertop and cast-iron skillet — hence the name!
Beginning this month, Target shoppers can find Stone & Skillet’s New England-style English muffins in Original, Cinnamon Raisin, and seasonal Pumpkin Spice flavors.
And despite the national growth, Stone & Skillet is keeping things local. The company continues to make its English muffins right here in Boston, and the Target expansion is also expected to bring more jobs to Dorchester.
Not bad for a business that started with three brothers, a stone countertop, and a skillet! Congrats!
