At about 2:17 PM on Wednesday April 20, 2022, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 15-year-old male from Dorchester on multiple charges after responding to a call for a breaking and entering in progress on Delhi Street in Mattapan. During the incident, the juvenile male attempted to gain entry to a residence through a rear door before fleeing the area. A short time later, the suspect was placed in custody with assistance from the homeowner at which time officers recovered a loaded .22 caliber Walther P22 handgun with an obliterated serial number from the suspect’s waistband area.
The suspect will appear in Dorchester Juvenile Court on charges of Delinquent to Wit: Attempted Breaking and Entering, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number.
