Way to go!

Earlier this week, Dorchester resident and Dorchester Youth Hockey player, Conor Olson received his last dose of chemo at the Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund Chemo Center! While he was there, Conor donated an impressive check for $10,000 from his fundraising efforts to the Jimmy Fund Clinic /Activities Team!

The following post was made on Conor’s Instagram page – Conor Crushes Caner:

Today was Conor’s Last Chemo!! We feel beyond blessed that these weeks have flown by! Thanks to our Buzz Off, Conor was also able to donate $10,000 to The Jimmy Fund Clinic /Activities Team. Kate Nixon accepted our donation – she was Conor favorite distraction during his weekly Wednesday visits. We all loved spending time with her. We could not have been able to make this possible without each and every one of you. Words cannot describe the love and support we have received from our family, friends and community. We cannot begin to thank you all for coming along this journey with us.

Back in February, Conor was was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.  He and his family organized a Buzz-Off fundraiser in April at the Devine Rink to raise money for families in need who have children battling cancer!

Let’s hear it for this amazing, strong and inspiring young man! Way to go, Conor!
