Judge Serge Georges Jr. – a Dorchester native – was nominated Tuesday by Gov. Charlie Baker to the fill the opening seat on the Supreme Judicial Court.
Georges attended BC High, graduated from Boston College in 1992 and then onto Suffolk University Law School
According to WCVB, Georges is currently serving as an associate justice of the Boston Municipal Court and from 2014 to 2018 he presided over the Dorchester Drug Court. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Suffolk Law for two decades and teaches at UMass Law School, too.
