Dorchester Day Parade Is Calling on the Community to Design Its Next Logo

Dorchester Day Parade is getting a fresh look—and the community is being invited to help shape it.
After many memorable years, “Bandman” will be taking a well-earned bow as the Dorchester Day Parade mascot. Organizers are sending a big thank you to Michael Mackan for creating the iconic figure that’s been part of parade tradition for so long ❤️.
Looking ahead to the 2026 Dorchester Day Parade, the committee is now on the hunt for a new parade logo—one that reflects what Dorchester means today. Residents of all ages are encouraged to get creative and design a logo that captures their connection to the neighborhood and its future.
Finished designs should be emailed to [email protected] by April 1st. The winning logo will be revealed on parade day—talk about bragging rights.
