At about 6:30 PM on Friday, February 7, 2020, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of Columbia Road and Hancock Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers were directed to the area of 566 Columbia Road where they located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Boston Police Department continues to actively review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
