Update:

At about 9:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 240 Westview Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located two adult victims, a male and a female, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The adult female victim later succumbed to her injuries and has since been identified as Tayne Perkins, 31, of Canton. The male victim remains in stable condition at this time.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
