City Realty Group, a community-focused real estate development company, is donating new Chromebooks to help underserved Boston students continue learning at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

To help supplement the Chromebooks being distributed by Boston Public Schools, City Realty Group has delivered new Google Chromebooks to the homes of a dozen kids in Dorchester and Roxbury.

City Realty Group, through its own nonprofit organization called City Kids, is working to expand educational opportunities for children living at or near the poverty line.

“During this challenging time, we cannot forget those children who lack the resources to effectively learn at home,” said Stephen Whalen of Boston, Managing Partner at City Realty Group and founder of City Kids.  “Our community-based initiatives focus on leveraging new technologies to provide kids with powerful tools to follow their educational curiosity.  We are proud to give these kids a chance to learn at home during this pandemic.”
