BPD INVESTIGATION UPDATE: The driver of the motor vehicle involved in the hit and run has been identified. Detectives will be seeking complaints in Roxbury District Court.

Yet another Update via BPD News:

Investigation Update: At about 7:23 AM on Wednesday September 29, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for a child struck by a vehicle at Columbia Road and Intervale Street. The operator of the above motor vehicle did not stop and fled the scene following the incident.

Detectives have since identified and recovered the motor vehicle involved in this incident and are continuing their investigation at this time.

Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury/Dorchester) continue to actively review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact 617) 343-4275.

Community members wishing to assist this investigation anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). The Boston Police Department will stringently guard and protect the identities of all those who wish to assist this investigation in an anonymous manner.

Update via BPD News:

At about 7:23 AM, Officers from District B2 responded to a call for a child that was struck by a vehicle at Columbia Road and Intervale Street. The operator of the above motor vehicle did not stop and fled the scene following the incident. Detectives assigned to District B2 obtained surveillance video and were informed that the vehicle’s front passenger quarter panel was damaged along with the hood. The passenger side headlight is also believed to be broken. It is believed that the vehicle is a white GMC SUV that has two sunroofs and a roof rack.

Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury/Dorchester) are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and are urging anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact 617) 343-4275.

WCVB is reporting that on Wednesday morning, a child was hit by a car at the intersection of Intervale + Columbia Road. BPD, BFD and Boston EMS responded. The child was taken to an area hospital.
