Car Crashes into a transformer pole before bursting into flames in Dorchester.

Yikes.

According to the BFD, around 9:40pm on Tuesday, a car crashed into a transformer pole at New England Ave. and Southern Ave. The pole dislodged from the ground, falling down onto the car with live high powered lines.

The driver was able to escape the car before it burst into flames.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out safely after Eversource shut down the power lines.  Boston Police were also on the scene.

Be careful out there!
