At about 10:00 AM on Monday, July 21, 2021, BPD Homicide Detectives arrested Ira Grayson, 35, of Manchester, NH and charged him with Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

Circumstances Surrounding the Incident: At about 8:36pm on Sunday, June 20, 2021, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a shot spotter activation at 14 Danube Street, Dorchester.  Moments later, Boston Operations received several 911 calls reporting a person shot at that location.  On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  A second victim from the incident self-applied to a Boston hospital and his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
