At about 10:10 AM on Thursday, June 24, 2021, members of the BPD Fugitive Unit arrested Carlos Eloy Thomas, 19, of Dorchester in the area of Park Street and Sturtevant Street in Dorchester pursuant to an outstanding arrest warrant sought out of Boston Municipal Court. The warrant was applied for following an investigation conducted by detectives assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) into a non-fatal shooting of an adult male victim which occurred at about 1:45 PM on Friday May 21, 2021, in the area of 1 Franklin Street in Downtown Crossing.
The suspect was placed in custody without incident and will appear in Boston Municipal Court on preliminary charges of Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon (to Wit: Firearm).
