One Less Gun: At about 6:30 AM on Thursday July 9, 2020, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) made an onsite firearm arrest after responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 500 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. Responding officers searched the area and soon located a male matching the given description, later identified as Michael Parker, 23, of Dorchester, walking in the area of 1580 Dorchester Avenue. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect immediately took off running through a nearby playground while clutching the waistband area of his pants with both hands. Officers were able to place the suspect in custody following a brief foot pursuit at which time they performed a pat frisk which led to the recovery of two firearms which were determined to be a loaded Polymer 80 P80 Inc. handgun and a Sig Sauer 1911 handgun. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2 Counts), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
