From BPD News:
At about 1:15 AM on Sunday November 20, 2022, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) recovered a loaded firearm, ammunition, drugs and cash following a foot pursuit in the area of 1117 Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester. The officers were on a fixed post in the area when they observed a suspicious male and attempted to stop him. The suspect fled on foot with the officers in pursuit onto Wilcock Street, running through several backyards until he ultimately made good his escape. Officers retraced the suspect’s path of flight and recovered a small bag containing a Glock 30 round magazine loaded with 22 9mm rounds, several bags of marijuana and $145.00 in U.S. Currency. A BPD K-9 was called to the scene and was able to successfully locate a discarded 9mm Glock 19X handgun, that did not have a magazine seated, loaded with one round of ammunition in the chamber.
The firearm will be turned over to the BPD Firearms Analysis for processing as this investigation continues.
