Attention college kids! The Boston Police are warningabout a scheme where scammers pose as FBI or IRS agents demanding that local students pay delinquent taxes, student loans or parking tickets. These scams are usually done by phone (who’s answering their phone?) and BPD encourages you to hang up!

BPD Scam Alert: The Boston Police Department is issuing a scam alert and asking local college students to be aware of a scheme where scammers, pretending to be representatives of either the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) or IRS (Internal Revenue Service), are calling area college students to demand payment on several items including delinquent taxes, overdue parking tickets or student loans.
