At about 2:07 PM on Friday January 26, 2018, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested two known suspects on firearm related charges in the area of 636 Harvard Street in Dorchester. The officers had stopped a motor vehicle as part of an active investigation which led to the recovery of a loaded 9mm Glock model 19 from underneath the front passenger seat. As a result, Teshawn Hector, 19, of Dorchester, and Taimeek Camillo, 26, of Dorchester, who were passengers inside the vehicle at the time of the investigation, were both placed in custody without incident. The suspects will appear in Dorchester Court on numerous charges including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. Teshawn Hector will also be arraigned on three outstanding felony warrants, including one which had been issued for a prior instance of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
