At about 1:00 PM on Friday April 24, 2020, officers assigned to the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, with assistance from members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Squad, arrested Enrique Rivera, 36, of Dorchester, on firearm related charges in the area of Edson Street in Dorchester. During the course of their investigation, officers were able to safely recover a .45 caliber handgun loaded with 8 rounds of ammunition in as well as a box containing an additional 42 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition. The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of A Firearm with Obliterated Serial Numbers and Improper Storage of a Firearm.
