From BPD News:
At about 11:54 PM on Thursday May 21, 2020, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) made an onsite warrant arrest after responding to a call for a person with a gun in the area of 28 Regina Road in Dorchester. Officers were advised that two males in the area appeared to be handling and cleaning a handgun. Officers soon located and stopped two individuals matching the given descriptions. One of the men, later identified as Tramonte Queen, 21, of Dorchester, stated that they had just exited a nearby parked motor vehicle and were walking home. When the officers inspected the vehicle indicated by the suspect, they immediately observed what appeared to be a handgun on the driver’s side floor of the vehicle. When questioned, the two men stated that the firearm was in fact a “starter pistol.” During the course of the investigation it was revealed that Queen was wanted on an outstanding warrant sought out of Dedham District Court on charges of Intimidation of a Witness, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating an Uninsured and Unregistered Motor Vehicle. The suspect was then placed in custody on scene without incident. The second suspect was identified and released. The handgun has since been turned over to the BPD Firearm Analysis Unit for processing. Additional charges could be sought by detectives depending on the outcome of that processing.
