ARREST MADE: At about 10:45 PM, on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester), responded to a call for a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in progress in the area of 21 Dracut Street in Dorchester.
The suspect, later identified as Jaquan Sims, 31, of Dorchester, was observed attempting to unlock and enter a motor vehicle that was parked in a residential driveway. Officers began searching the surrounding area for the suspect and located him in the area of 1886 Dorchester Avenue. The suspect was found to be in possession of several items that did not belong to him including a laptop, several pairs of sunglasses and various credit/debit cards and personal papers, none of which were in the suspect’s name. The aforementioned items were located inside of a backpack Sims was in possession of.
Jaquan Sims was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle (Night). He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
