At about 10:50 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021, officers assigned to the District B-2 (Roxbury) Drug Control Unit along with members of the BPD Citywide Drug Control Unit arrested Tevin Regis, 26, of Dorchester, on firearm and drug related charges following the execution of three search warrants in the area of 716 Columbia Road in Dorchester.
The warrants were applied for and granted in Dorchester District Court for the suspect, his vehicle and his residence. As a result, officers were able to safely recover a 7.62 x .39mm RAS47 rifle, a .40 caliber Glock 23, a .40 caliber Smith & Wesson MP Shield along with numerous rounds of ammunition and feeding devices. Officers also recovered a quantity of crack cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials and other paraphernalia used for the preparation and distribution of illegal drugs as well as $2,660 in U.S. Currency.
The suspect will appear in Dorchester District Court on charges including, Possession of a Machine Gun, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Improper Storage of a Firearm (2 Counts) and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs.
