From BPD News:
About 4:42pm on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 members of the Youth Violence Strike Force made an on-site firearm arrest at the intersection of Washington Street and Southern Avenue, Dorchester.
The officers were on patrol in the area in relation to two calls for Shot Spotter activations. The officers were made aware of three possibly involved motor vehicles, one being a black jeep that was occupied by three individuals. While on patrol, the officers observed a black jeep vehicle travelling towards them on Allston Street, and then turning onto Lyndhurst Street. Officers could see that this vehicle was occupied three times, and with the assistance of other units, the vehicle was safely stopped at the intersection of Washington Street and Southern Avenue, Dorchester.
The occupants were removed from the vehicle and detained. A pat frisk of the motor vehicle revealed what officers believed was a firearm concealed in a sock, tucked between the jeep’s hardtop and the frame, directly behind the driver’s seat. The sock was removed and a black and silver semi-automatic Bersa Thunder .380, loaded with (1) live round in the chamber and (6) live rounds in the magazine was recovered.
The following individuals were placed under arrest:
Kaeson Fernandes, 27 years old of Dorchester, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
Abdul Jame Al Raquib Morris, 26 years old from Dorchester, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
Kevon Young, 28 years old of Dorchester, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
