About 11:55 AM on Friday, May 29, 2020, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, arrested six (6) males for outstanding warrants and firearm related offenses at the Comfort Inn located at 900 Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester.
As a result of an ongoing fugitive investigation, officers received information that the target of their investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile male, of Mattapan, was hiding out at the hotel. The juvenile male was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Suffolk County Juvenile Court for Armed Robbery and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. The juvenile male was also being monitored via a GPS bracelet and officers were able to view surveillance footage of him entering into the hotel the prior evening. He will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
Jamani Humphries, 18, of Boston was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Suffolk County Juvenile Court for Carrying a Firearm Without a License and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm. He will be arraigned at Boston Juvenile Court.
Myquan Shepard, 19, of Boston, was arrested on an outstanding default warrant issued by Suffolk County Juvenile Court on (2 counts) Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Shoplifting by Asportation and Threat to Commit Crime. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
The 17-year-old juvenile male, of Dorchester was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Suffolk County Juvenile Court for Armed Robbery. He will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
Richard Archie, 20, of Brighton was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Department of Youth Services for a Parole Violation. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
Recovered from a backpack in the hotel room, was a loaded Glock 22 slide equipped with an ADE Advanced Optics (HR54) strobe laser sight, with Twelve (12) rounds of ammunition in a magazine that was capable of holding fifteen (15) rounds. The backpack belonged to Kobe Smith, 21, of Roxbury. He was placed under arrest and charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License, Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card and Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
