Boston Emeralds FC Launches New Semi-Pro Soccer Team in Dorchester

“Forged in Heritage, Driven by Pride”

The Boston Emeralds Football Club is a brand-new semi-pro team set to make its debut in April 2026, competing in Division 1 of the United Premier Soccer League New England Conference. Based right here in Dorchester, the Emeralds are proudly rooted in Boston’s Irish community and local soccer culture.

Co-founded by Dorchester locals Kevin Tarr and Keegan Hegarty, the club will be led by Hegarty as head coach, with Tarr serving as assistant coach. Tryouts for the new team will take place on February 4th:
