Big News: Sally’s Apizza is coming to Dot – and maybe sooner than we think!

Considered one of the best pizza spots in the country by some, a Connecticut restaurant is coming to the neighborhood!

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Sally’s Apizza is scheduled to meet with the City on Wednesday, August 6th to discuss its plans to open at South Bay. The proposed 4,965-square-foot spot will have indoor seating for 138, including a capacity of 15 at a bar and another 48 on an outdoor patio.  Sally’s is also seeking a full liquor license.   You can get the details here.

Sally’s Apizza was founded in New Haven, CT, by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938. According to its website, they hand-craft authentic New Haven pizza in custom-designed ovens using the original recipes. The pizza is known for its distinctive tomato sauce and chewy, crispy crust with an iconic oven-kissed char.

The pizza is so good that people have it shipped nationwide! Wowza!

Another Sally’s Apizza is opening in Seaport on Thompson Place in the near future as well!
