Boston firefighters were called to 1129 Dorchester Ave around 1pm on Monday for reports of smoke showing from a second floor window. The fire was contained to the second floor apartment which was unoccupied – except for two iguanas. The iguanas were rescued and are staying with a neighbor until the owner is notified.
No injuries were reported. BFD estimated damage at approximately $10,000.
