BC High Investigating Alleged Racist Incident Near Dorchester Campus
Boston College High School is investigating an alleged racist incident that took place near its Dorchester campus on Thursday, September 17.
According to Boston.com, Carly Nguyen said she and her mother were driving near UMass Boston and BC High when two boys in another vehicle allegedly began yelling racial slurs at them. Nguyen recorded part of the encounter and later posted about it on social media.
Nguyen contacted BC High because she believed the boys appeared to be leaving the school. BC High has not confirmed whether the individuals involved are students.
The school said it has launched an internal investigation and that the alleged behavior is unacceptable. BC High added that appropriate disciplinary action would be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
