BPD responds to call for a person in the neighborhood with a loaded gun.  Four males were arguing – one holding a rifle.  See report below. 

From BPD News:

At about 7:59 PM, on Monday, October 14, 2019, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester), responded to a radio call for a person with a gun in the area of 381 Centre Street in Dorchester.

Officers were advised by the BPD dispatcher that 4 males were arguing and that one of those males was holding what appeared to be a rifle in his hand.

Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect coming out of a driveway and due to the nature of the call, officers placed the male, later identified as Paul Brown, 33, of Dorchester, into handcuffs and searched him for any weapons that may have been present.

Officers were able to locate a rifle leaning against a chain link fence in the driveway. The Mossberg International 71ST, .22 caliber long rifle had a magazine containing 23 rounds of ammunition.

Mr. Brown was charged with the following: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Carrying a Rifle or Shotgun on a Public Way. Brown is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
