At approximately 10:30am, BFD responded to call and found heavy fire on all three floors of an occupied 3-family building at 28 Fifield St. A 2nd alarm was ordered.
All companies were ordered off the rear porches due to the fact the fire burned through them.
Heavy fire has been knocked down and companies are overhauling all three floors.
Two firefighters suffered minor burns and were transported to an area hospital. 17 residents have been displaced including three children. The Red Cross is working to find them housing.
Damage is estimated between $450,000-$500,000. No word yet on what caused the fired.
