A five-alarm fire ripped through a three-decker on Allston Street in Dorchester. Nearly 100 firefighters battled the blaze in freezing cold conditions on Saturday night around 10pm at 7 Allston Street and then 5 Allston Street.
One firefighter was taken to an area hospital. $1.5 million is estimated in damages. 14 residents have been displaced. Mayor Marty Walsh was on scene to meet with residents and first responders.
