Cedar Grow Gardens announced on Sunday via social media that Ann Howie – affectionately known as “The Bow Lady” due to her talent of creating gorgeous bows out of ribbon – has passed away.
See post below
We’re heartbroken to share the news of Ann “The Bow Lady” Howie’s passing. Ann had been with Cedar Grove Gardens for over twenty years and her beautiful wreaths graced many a door in New England and beyond. Ann will be remembered for so much, but especially her sweet smile, her generous spirit, her wry sense of humor and the bag of candy she always kept hidden under her bench for well-behaved children and coworkers. Ann spent each holiday season with us before a long drive down to Florida to enjoy her jacuzzi. She was there, in Florida, when she moved on to the other side. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers.
As we gather more information about services for our dear friend, we will pass that along to the CGG community. In the meantime, please share with us your favorite Bow Lady memories. Tag us in any photos of Ann’s wreaths, too, especially if you’re one of the many who kept an extra special bow season after season.
We’ll miss you, Ann.
