The Boston Herald is reporting that the Dorchester Youth Collaborative (DYC) is closing after 40 years of providing the youth of the neighborhood a safe space with sports and after-school programs.
The board of the anti-violence organization in Fields Corner voted to shut the program down after it had to stop all programming due to the pandemic.
The Herald interviews Executive Director Emmett Folgert about the decision and you can read about it here.
