From BPD News:

At about 8:03 PM, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 621 Dudley Street (Mary Hannon Playground).

Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and discovered ballistic evidence inside of the playground and ballistic damage to 8 Folsom Street. After further investigation, officers retrieved surveillance footage of a motor vehicle leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.

Officers were able to locate the motor vehicle in the area of 88 Park Street where the two suspects were placed under arrest after a loaded firearm was recovered from inside of the vehicle. The firearm was determined to be a Glock 23 with one round in the chamber and twenty-two rounds in the magazine.

Daijah Myers, 18, of Dorchester was placed under arrest and will be charged with the following; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Firearm with altered serial number and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License.

A 17-year-old male from Braintree was placed under arrest and charged with the following; Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Possession of Ammunition. Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
