A ‘serial pimp’ from Dorchester sentenced for sex trafficking three women, teen girl
On Thursday, a Dorchester man was sentenced in federal court for sex trafficking three women and a 16-year-old girl across state lines.
The Boston Globe is reporting, Bruce A. “Arki” Brown, 43, received an 11-and-a-1/2-year sentence and five years of supervised release at a hearing in US District Court from Judge Patti B. Saris.
Back in November, Brown had pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor; transportation of a minor for purposes of prostitution; two counts of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion; obstruction of justice; and witness tampering.
Brown was originally indicted in February 2020. In June 2020, Brown was charged in a superseding indictment with obstruction of justice and witness tampering for his attempt to influence a victim’s testimony related to the charges against him. Brown dubbed this scheme his “Plan B.” In July 2020, Brown was charged in a second superseding indictment.
Brown was described as a “serial primp” in a sentencing memo written by prosecutors who targeted a drug addict, a domestic abuse survivor, a prior trafficking victim, and a minor.
