Return of the Ashmont Friday Market – Back for a new season on Friday!
The kickoff of the 18th Annual Ashmont Friday Market — a vibrant neighborhood tradition that brings together the best of Dorchester and beyond — will take place on Friday, July 11th, from 2pm-6pm. This weekly open-air market features fresh produce, specialty prepared foods, local crafts, food trucks, and more to kick off your weekend. Whether you’re picking up your groceries, hunting for a unique handmade gift, or just enjoying the sunshine and community vibes, the Ashmont Friday Market is the perfect way to spend your Friday afternoon!
Tall Ships Return
The Tall Ships are returning to Boston Harbor from July 11th through July 16th, bringing six days of maritime magic to the waterfront. From the spectacular Parade of Sail and free ship tours to fireworks, waterfront festivities, and plenty of opportunities to explore Boston, Sail Boston 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest events of the summer. Sail Boston Fireworks
Fireworks will illuminate Boston Harbor and the Tall Ships on Saturday, July 11th at 9:15pm. The fireworks will launch from a barge located off of Boston’s Fan Pier. They’ll happen again on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:15pm too!
RuPaul’s Drag Race Fridays at Blend
On Fridays, we watch RuPaul’s Drag Race at 8pm at Blend. Then at 10pm hangout for FRIDAY FEELS w/beats by @bossiboots
Happy 3rd Birthday Lazy Bear Creamery
For two years, Lazy Bear Creamery has been open in the neighborhood! This wildly popular ice cream shop features over 4o flavors ranging from vanilla and chocolate chip to more adventurous flavors like Rain Forest Crunch and Salty Sloth! Lazy Bear also features dairy-free options in ices and sherbets! In addition to their house-made caramel sauce and Nana Peach’s hot fudge, Lazy Bear sell homemade cookies and brownies to go with your ice cream. Stop by and wish them a happy birthday this weekend!

Lace ’em up! Dorchester Running Club Summer Series
Lace up those sneakers and participate in the Dorchester Running Club’s Summer Run Series! Every Thursday evening, run a 3-mile route or walk a 1.5-mile route, followed by drinks and apps at some of Dorchester’s best spots. It’s a great way to get in shape and meet some new people! Country Fridays at Landmark Public House
Dust off those boots, Dorchester — a little country is heading your way. Country Fridays returns to Landmark Public House, bringing line dancing, country music, and plenty of fun to Adams Village. The fun kicks off with line dancing lessons led by JP LineDance, with the first lesson starting at 9 pm. No experience is required, so whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just curious to try something new, everyone’s welcome to jump in. Grab your friends, practice your two-step, and get ready for a new Friday night tradition in Dorchester!
Parade of Sail Pop-up
The Tall Ships are in town, and the Seaport is one of the spots where it is all happening! There will be a Pop-Up happening on Seaport Common on Saturday, July 11th, from 9am to 4pm. There will be games and experiences from businesses such as Ballers, F1 Arcade, and Kings. Restaurants will also be popping up with delicious dishes. Check out the full list here!

Cool off with some delicious summer cocktails and frozen drinks at Yellow Door!
Splish Splash
Splash pads across the City are open and ready for splashing — a great way to stay cool this summer. Additionally, there are several public pools in Boston where you can take a swim. Many are offering swim lessons and aquatic programs. Visit boston.gov/splash for an interactive map of locations, accessibility information, and live spray play status – updated hourly.
Dorchester Sunset Flea Market
This free event will feature drop-in art-making that promotes holistic wellness, a community yard sale, mutual aid resources, free food, and more! Takes place on Saturday, July 11th from 4pm-8pm. Get the details here.
