Double Homicide in Braintree – 16-year-old from Braintree and 20-year-old from Dorchester are shot and killed.
Braintree Police Department received several calls around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning to Alfred Road for gunfire in the area. Police discovered a local teen and a Dorchester man in a parked car with multiple gunshot wounds.
“Braintree Police Officers arrived on-scene within seconds and located two individuals in a parked motor vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds,” the department wrote in a release. “A third person in the car was uninjured. Numerous life-saving measures were initiated by police, Braintree Police Department, Fire Department personnel, and Brewster Ambulance paramedics. Both victims ultimately succumbed to their injuries at a local hospital.”
According to the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office, one of the two victims lived on the street where the shooting happened. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Jayden Santos-Andrade, of Dorchester, and 16-year-old Jahzier Porter, of Braintree.
