Dorchester Reporter reports that a 7-year-old girl brought a gun in a backpack on Friday to the Saint John Paul II Columbia Campus in Dorchester.
Shortly before 7am, BPD was called to the scene after staff members discovered the firearm in the backpack. According to the report, the bag belonged to another family member, and the girl brought it to school by mistake. The family member did have a license to carry the gun.
No arrests were made in the case. It has not been released whether the gun was loaded or not.
